The gold medal the team acquired on Sunday was added to the silver medal they previously acquired at the all-around event on Saturday.

The national team has also won the historic team gold medal at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in June.

The Israeli team also competed at the Clubs and Hoops apparatus event finals on Sunday, where they managed to place fourth after finishing with 18.250 points.

At the individual event, Israeli individual rhythmic gymnast Neta Rivkin has managed to acquire an impressive total of 18.500 points, which brought her in the third place behind the two Russian athletes.

She was assigned to hold the country’s flag at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. She will represent the country in the rhythmic gymnastics individual competition in Rio. Rio 2016 will serve as her third Olympic participation as she competed in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.
